Summer heat on my skin,
Glorious treats fill up my senses.
The breeze through my hair and between my feet
twirl and whirl.
My dress dances with the wind and it blows it here and there,
My hair lays gently on my shoulders as I lay on the grass.
I look up at the sky and let my hands reach over my head and I feel the grass with my fingertips.
I surrender to everything around me,
The sound of the birds,
The light breeze that twirls on my skin,
The smell of summer, ah!
Warm colors of gold, yellow and red.
Light rays reach my lips as I glide my fingers on them,
I kiss the summer sun.

Oh I wish I could kiss the summer sun Maria. We are in the dark depths of winter here and yesterday the winds were so gusty that some people’s roofs went ‘walkabout’. I enjoyed reading this and imagining summer was here again. ~ Anni :)
