I like to think my artwork encourages the viewer out of their space and into the image for a little while – a mini-holiday to induce calm, evoke wonder or explore our relationships with the world around us. In creating my art, I feel it should occupy a space without over-powering it, further revealing layers of the work upon each passing glance. This allows my pieces to grow into the world of the owner, adding a welcoming and stimulating dimension to any space.
As a reflection of the diversity of life and our world, I often use various mediums in creating my pieces. In my paintings I often utilise a textured effect which coaxes the changing natural light in a room to alter the light in the painting. My paintings breathe with a life of their own.
My work has been represented at numerous shows and competitions. As a graphic artist, photographer and Toowoomba resident of almost 20 years, I am inspired by frequent travel from the coast to the bush and believe my art will bring a new perspective into your lives and lounge rooms.
