We started the day just out of Jackson Hole in WY. We woke to the first snow of the season and made our way up to one of the worlds most famous National Parks. Justifiably so. We had the option of freezing in the fresh air, or staying warm in the sulfurous steam. I recommend a little of both!
There was something magic about warm water flowing between solid rock and a thin cover of ice crystals, and natural smoke stacks lining the horizon.
This view was captured using oil pastel on unstretched canvas.
I also recommend staying at the old lodge right next to the Old Faithful… and enjoying their Hot Chocolate with creme de menthe…
