Hometown Miracle? I know it was all in the plan!

Posted about 3 years ago

Last nite about 6:15 PM or so my husband Jay was driving home from Wichita Falls. We have the papers printed there since we started having them done in color a few months back. We send the pages electronically and by the time Jay gets to Wichita Falls they are usually done, he packs them in the back of the suburban and returns to Munday where we label them and get them to the post office. He had …

Posted over 3 years ago

I’m so excited – I just can’t hide it – and I know I’m about to loose control and I think I like it! That’s how the song goes and I’m very excited because this is only my second sale on redbubble! Many thanks to chekuz for the purchase of “Christmas Sittin’ Spot” cards – it has made my week-end.

Angels Around Us

Posted over 3 years ago

A few weeks ago the elementary aged youngsters in my Sunday School class became quite involved in the mornings conversation. They usually aren’t quite so eager to talk when it comes to the day’s lessons but would rather chit-chat amongst themselves about other topics that interest them more. But this one Sunday it was different. They were anxious to talk about times when they thought …

She's "Going Home"

Posted over 3 years ago

Some of my first memories of sister-hood are playing in the hedge growth along side our home in Haskell, Texas. It was a long line of some sort of bushes that formed almost a fenced in like area. If I remember correctly we had gotten Ted, our brother, to “carve” out some hollow areas in the bushes and we two girls would go out and play house in the bushie rooms. We must have been fair…

Hello there all my red bubble friends. You all have been so kind as to include me in your prayers and once again I’m asking for your help.
My sister, who is five years older than me, has cancer for the 3rd time. It started 8 years ago as breast cancer and has come back in several places since then. Today we put her back in the hospital. She has been running a fever everyday for at least two…

Hello to all here on rb. I haven’t been on in over a week so I have missed you dearly and plan to spend the week-end catching up. Words From Karsyn

Posted over 3 years ago

This morning in church one of my precious little friends handed me two notes. They were written in purple and white “Hannah Montana” stationery and will now remain a treasure to me forever – I plan to put them in a safe place to look at from time to time. Sometimes a first grader can inspire you in ways that were not expected.
The following is what Karsyn wrote to me – sp…

The Road Forks

Posted over 3 years ago

Have you ever had a day that you simply wished wouldn’t ever come to pass? That’s the way today was for me. I had hoped that I could just forget about the entire day – but things didn’t work like that. Like most other other dreaded days they come and then they’re gone. But today turned out to be a wonderful day. Funny? Sometimes I think it’s just all in the per…

Worms to Butterflys

You can always learn so much from kids!
Today my daughter and I started leading Sunday School for the age group from Grades 1 thru 3. I really missed the little guys that we had taught for many years – the three to six year olds. This morning the kids were rather loud and raucous. I don’t know what had them so wound up. We started the morning off with a little game of “Bible Eigh…
