I’m a 55 year old wife, mother, and grandmother. My husband and I own and operate 3 small community weekly newspapers and also a press where we print our 3 papers and 5 other weeklies for customers. Like most small business owners we work long hours, stretch our budget, but love what we do.
My kids and grandkids are the main focus of my hobby – photography. I also enjoy music (I play keys, sing, and play the flute) and I like to walk and train my 2 poodles, a miniature and a standard.
We live in a small rural farming community in Texas and for the most part we really enjoy it. I say – for the most part! I guess there’s always something to be negative about anywhere you live – I do wish that people here were not so clickish.
I love to write for the papers but sometimes it gets rather tedious. I also now know what “writer’s block” is all about. I decided I would enjoy “blogging” because I can write about some things there that I couldn’t and/or wouldn’t publish in our hometown paper. Well – happy reading and I look forward to getting to know many of you on-line.
