THE WAY OF THE MOON

1.I love the way

of the moon,
how she flickers
shadows
on my walls,
streams
her silver paint
through my window,
dancing figurines
before my sleepy eyes,
caressing
my restless mind
into calm,
serene quietude,
gently narrating
a tale
of light and shadow,
two lovers
who meet
in the still of night
and carry me
to a land of dreams

2.

I love the way
of the moon,
how she skips
light
across my shoulders,
folds
her luminous scarf
over my canvas,
flowing silk
over my weary body,
kissing
my wandering soul
into tranquil,
soothing stillness,
melodiously singing
a song
of spirit and flesh,
two lovers
who meet
in between time
and carry me
to a world of moments.

3.

I love the way
of the moon,
how she watches
adoringly
from her balcony,
raises
her crystal glass
to distant stars,
tossing gemstones
on passing clouds,
spreading
her warm glow
into sparkling,
shimmering cascade,
invisibly weaving
a tapestry
of heaven and earth,
two lovers
who meet
in the infinity of space
and carry me
to a place with no horizons.

I love the way you crafted this piece into three separate but equally joining force that breathes so smoothly across the page bro..really dig the love and gentleness that inks from your fingers.

  • Many thanks to you. I find the moon draws a mysterious quietness out of me….one of awe and marvel. Always appreciated friend.

I would if I could Cos, favorite this thousands of times, for the grace and flow you’ve managed to create that matches the eternal spirit of your words. Such a melody of images that are incomparably beautiful. I would actually love to hear this read – with some exquisite Segovia 12 string playing in the background. I think I’d be in tears. I honestly believe this is the loveliest thing you’ve ever written and I can’t do justice to it in my poor commentary! xoxox

  • ….so i go to YouTube and search Segovia…..man I love that music!…..never too old to be amazed Lianne…..the wonder of a child is still there …..can’t do justice you say, well this just took me to a higher appreciation of your wide scope of artistry and humanity. I thank you for your kind comment and introduction to some pretty fine music….I love the guitar, have been known to strum a string or two (literally) myself and appreciate the skill required. xoxo

This is seamlessly put together, even though you have broken it in three frames, and is a thing of beauty to behold! Very well written! Moonshine eternal!

  • Cheers Russell. Do appreciate your visit. Nice to meet you here on RB.
