I paint with words,
watch the ink
find its way to link
a flow of fleeting
from line to line
bonding to thirsty fibres,
floating ideas,
unravelling feelings
into letters
arm in arm
birthing words,
exploring a new playground.

I sketch
skeletal thoughts
of single phrases,
like broken bones
to knit together
for fleshy poetry
to graft its skin upon
in readiness
for the final tatto.
