DANCING SPIRITS 1 by Cosimo Piro

Currently unavailable for purchase

This image I started a few years back and recently did some finishing touches. It’s on plaster board painted and sculptured with cornice adhesive and coloured in with pencils. It is 1.8mx36cm. See detail HERE HERE HERE

We are dancing spirits
soft shoeing
on shifting sands
in a corporeal entombment
of night dreams
and days hopes,
bound by flesh
and bone,
woven together
by threads
of light and shade.
Our many hues
and turn,
contort complex nuances
to time’s
tapping fingers,
and resisting
perpetual emotions
a constantly changing

night, dancing, light, dreams, shade, soft, flesh, hopes, spirits, emotions, corporeal

When I look at this…I see movement and color…and it seems to stretch on forever…and then I read your poem and I couldn’t help but nod my head in agreement. This is a really cool piece of art Cos..the poem, as always is beautiful < 3 < 3

Oh wow Cos – this is just so exceptional both as art and as poetry. What an extraordinary pairing of beautiful thoughts with visual images that fire the imagination. Oh dear – how am I going to choose among them? Well I won’t – I’ll just favorite them all, each in turn. xox

Right well firstly I must scold you a little ….for holding out on us with your talent for the brush….. OK now I have taken care of that!
The prose and art have no idea which I love more….ok it must be both…
Do not keep things like this hidden again! …..Or you will be sorry ;O) xxx

The picture does indeed dance and the music is supplied by the poetry.
