Untitled (part 3 in a series of 3)

Denied again, I walk the same stream
Frustrated, hurt, confused, upset,
And alone without a friend.
Questions I cannot ask fill
My puzzled head as I look
To what must be accomplished tomorrow.
I am angered by being so ignored
And question why a fantasy world is
So preferable to the real.
But I’ll bleed myself dry on
This walk, this dance, in and away,
Because Love guides me so.

As the link implies, this is part one of what could be considered a sort of trilogy. I probably wrote all three having been prompted by a friend to begin a regiment of writing sometime before, and these three appeared in a row.

It was more or less a trilogy after the fact, though. I do not believe I intended it to be at the beginning.

It should be noted that this poem is heavily influence by Vergil’s second Eclogue.

The end of the poem has something to do with Dantean philosophy.

I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE part one, two and three, they are so awsome. Having different parts is totally original! The entire thing is just AWESOME! I am so happy that you added more work! Great Job!

Love all three also. I could imagine some of this being sung. Then the different parts could be emphasised or played down. I feel hopeful and disappointed at the same time. Like a twisting wind of emotion. I like how things aren’t completely explained but the reader is engaged through the feelings of the writer.

  • You nailed it. Thank you.
