I saw a poster a year or so ago of a flamenco dancer that I fell in love with. I went to buy it but someone beat me to it :( I promised one day I would paint my own flamenco dancer when I felt comfortable enough to do so.

There was a contest for art in red and flamenco immediately sprang to mind so I thought I would finally try it out and have a play about with some pastels to see if I could achieve what I was after.

I took a stock photo of a pose that I liked and changed it to how I wanted the page filled. I changed her hair and dress and was trying to achieve a feel of passion and movement.

Created with pastels on red card
