This was taken at the National Cemetery in Grantville, PA. In honor of Memorial Day, flags are placed along the entrance to the cemetery. It honestly is an overwhelming sight. This series is from my trip there to share the sight with everyone.

A day for deep remembrance. Well done!
thanks so much…this is my favorite of the series..I think.
Great picture of the flags? Did you use a wide angle lens or stitch two pictures together. Whatever the method, the result is great.
I had my zoom lens. Straight from the camera…on a hill looking through the trees at the flags below. Thanks.
This is an awesome view Alex!! I was there today and it is very moving!Congrats on being featured in Welcome Pennsylvania ~ Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!!! Lori
thank you Lori. I think I appreciate this feature more than any others. glad you liked it.
Congrats on the feature Alex. I believe those flags represent those killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, one flag for every death. I drove through today and it seemed to me that there were quite a few more flags than last year.
I knew it was for those killed, just wasn’t sure when. It is really awesome to see then to really think about the meaning behind it. Glad you liked it. Congrats on your feature too..still one of my favs.
