Liverpool looking up

I remember the days
When Liverpool was old and grey
No one cared and looked away

I remember the docks

When it stared out
I went shopping with my dad

I remember the post office
When it got brought down and
It became a derelict ghost town

I remember the night
When an unusual person sat on the wall
Felt upset that he was not needed any more

I remember the day
When I looked up Liverpool
And felt proud

I remember the street
When I seen a blast from the past
And it came alive

I remember the moment

When the grey came alive chatting about the old day
And feeling reviled
