Photographed on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi a year after the area was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. The building in the top right was a fishery that was devoured to its core by the hurricane. To me the young woman with her child symbolizes that life does manage to go on despite great natural disasters.
