Parkinson's Disease
This photograph is for people who have Parkinson’s Disease. It is quite a struggle at times to keep our hands from shaking, and that is the mildest of the symptoms. But occasionally my trembling hand results in a blurred photograph that I find very pretty. So this photograph is for all of us with Parkinson’s.

Thank you to the groups “A Beautiful Blur” and “Something to Say” for featuring this photograph.

Cora you are always so to the point with your pictures. I can feel the sadness you’re showing but also the joy of colors!

cora – i admire your courage and persistance, realizing the frustration of seeing something beautiful to take a photo of and not be able to capture it because of a disability that interferes. this photo actually looks like abstract art, and i agree with anne marie’s comment as well.

i believe that this represents the physical struggle with the disease.but also shows the determination of coping and overcoming this struggle.it shows that something positive can come from something negative, and instead of giving into it,you have chosen to use it to create.

Cora, you are amazing. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be at times. I think back to some of your fantastic shots you’ve shared, and I appreciate them even more. Thank you for sharing this shot and your story. :) Karen

even blurred it makes a great photo. One thing you can do that will always keep it alive, is a tripod and a remote. tho not as spontainous, we all have to use them sometime! Thank you for helping keep me aware.

neat shot and a great idea behind it, my aunt had Parkinsons, and it can be very trying. Thanks for the lovely shot.

This is beautiful – the blurring gives the effect of watercolours running into one another.

I’ve occasionally taken photos by “accident” which have been nicer than those I wanted to take!
This one is Sweet Peas, you might not have pointed your camera at those beautiful & delicate flowers, but that’s what I see.
Does your very clever camera have image stabilisation? I don’t know if IS would help.
It’s a lovely image, most DEFINITELY Sweet Peas, I can smell them from here.

Thank you for creating this Cora. I was just recently diagnosed with PD after a very long stint of tests and such. It is somewhat manageable right now, but there are days when it is worse than others! Peace to you!

Shannon, I wish you well, thank you for sharing that you have PD, too. Take care, Cora

wow i too have PD and admire you both for sharing the fact… it is so important to let friends and family know about it and then equally to impress on them that you will ASK for help at the approppriate time .
a line in one of my poems is
’...for life lacking challenge is no life at all…’
everyone has something in life to view as a challenge
most of us simply pull our socks up and get on with it
my best wishes to all
