Voices of the Endangered

If I wandered, off alone,
Would you notice I was gone?
Would you see what I have seen?
If I wandered off the scene
Would you even think of me?

In all the mountains I have roamed
Sat high and called to all my own
If I wandered, off alone
Would you notice I have gone?

When through the silence of the night
Through the shadows of moonlight
Will you search to hear my plea?
Will you even think of me?

Like the others I have known
Who no longer here, do roam?
In the darkness of the night
Do you feel my heart in flight?

If I, were never more to roam,
You would be standing here, all alone.

sad and beautiful ..forlorn..I hear the wolf howl,vickie..
the clock is ticking on so many species..when will we realize we are all connected?

  • coppertrees replied

I keep hoping something will change but they killed Limpy a few days ago, the wolf from Yellowstone and 12 others and left them lay. They are killing off all out endangered animals for the land.

Beautiful words flowed nicely. It’s sad to think of one being gone and not even thought of; and unfortunately the one that is gone would have no idea.

    Thank you Mui-Ling

The last two words really hit home. Flora is being threatened in equally aggressive ways too. Our wetlands are a natural filter being smothered by erosion from development. Being in the field of such, I have seen and experienced the increase of stricter guidelines as to control and enforcement of environmental preservation issues.

I too have been in the field of enviromental as well as my brother, seems the more we try thr more the gov. destroys
