My peoples were gathered and moved over the Trail of Tears. To this day have not returned to their origional lands.
When I think of my family past and present I remember. and hold dear their ways.

As Sophie did painting for all the tribes of the Cherokee on this day.

remember yes we must not forget … the stories must be passed down … remember so that it may never happen again

  • My Grandmothers stories were horrid of this event. Her voice would crak and the tears would roll.
Today is no different the reservations are full of sicknesses from bad medicines. It has never stopped.

With all that is woven within this piece, it is an exceptionally emotive render my friend. Well done!

  • Many thanks, I think the hardest thing to capture in art and acting as well is getting the emotion through with the back turned. One of thoes challenges smile.

very meaningful ……………. marvellous but a sad story

  • Thank you,sad yet true to this day.

I could say it is reflecting over to all here now.If one were to really study history they would find that over and over it repeats, just different faces.
