Done in watercolor
11’’ by 8.5’’ Watercolor paper weight 160
I recieved a package in the mail the other day and in it were two feathers and a necklace with card. This was a great joy to me as it came from two friends who I hold dear in my heart. Women of healing.
I sat down and did the feathers as a thank you for them.

This is absolutely photo realistic work Vickie…the feathers look incredibly 3d…the softness is almost tactile….fantastic work….
Thank you very much Janis I worked on it for several hours and the paper was thin so I soaked it before I started let it swell and dry then carefully did the painting in layers of wet and dry.

Your techniques resulted in an amazing piece of art….
Thanks Janis it was abit annoying in some parts with the watercolor you know how easy it will mess up on smooth paper.

Oh Vickie, they only looked this beautiful when they were on the hawk…;)
Ladyhawk was a rehabilitated red-shouldered hawk, whom left me these feathers the day that I set her free in 2003.
Your grateful and giving spirit is much like hers!
TK I am so happy you like them I love them They are in my vision all the time as I placed them so they were.,You will be recieving the origional soon.
