I’ve been playing around with apophysis and bringing into gimp … amazing programs to play with … just posted a series called Deep Dreams consisting of one main image and four subsets of the image .. plan do do more
I love what you’re doing with the combo of apophysis and photoshop .. hope to see more of this work from you (smile) ....

GIMP is a raster graphics editor … I don’t have photoshop (can’t afford it actually) and GIMP does a lot what photoshop can do but it’s not a replacement for PS .. and it’s free (smile) .. so since you have PS you’d probably not need gimp..
(I used to use PaintShopPro (before Corel took it over) and still use v7.0 for some of my design work.)
I don’t use windows except rarely. I use Linux but there is a gimp just for windows and even a version that as I think I read has menu choices etc just like PS so that a PS user doesn’t have to relearn everything just to play (smile) ..
I too am always on the outlook for new programs to play with .. Apophysis is the newest for me .. lots of potential .. I also have an evaluation copy of Ultra Fractal that looks interesting too …
