Hmm .. not into the religious aspects of such things, but I must say that I do enjoy the color, composition, and basic sentiments expressed. This is lovely!

lol okay, well, not sure how a painting of a figure, concept, person, etc. that is worshipped could not be religious in tone, but for the record I was making a distinction because I wouldn’t want to mislead anyone, artist or otherwise, by praising something of this kind and making them think I was into things I wasn’t. That’s all.

It’s a very tricky thing to do, unfortunately, because there is a fine line between not giving offense and not giving offense.

My main point was that it is lovely, but it’s not lovely to me because of what it represents but because of the way it’s balanced, colors used, etc.

From the mother we all rise and are children of the sun and of the skies. This one is my favorite. I love the the flute it seems to be calling spirits on the wind to come and look upon the mother’s face.
