Artist's Description

Big, bold, brash, loud, colourful, tough as old boot straps, full of energy and optimism…basically describes the Australian character, eh?
I went a bit crazy and loose and just plain did not care what it ended up like and I ended up liking it a lot, the painting I mean…Sydney is a bit too big for an old yokel like me nowadays but for now she is home :)
But what a city, what an amazing place, what a character she is?
Australia’s oldest and most famous city, the best natural harbour in the World, full of secret, magical spots where you can still find solitary confinement amongst the millions of occupants, born of convict stock and still getting over the Stain…
The best beaches a city could ever ask for, even better than Perth cos Sydney beaches have rocks and pools and knobbly bits where you can find treasure!
And no, I don’t study freakin Ken Done, never seen his work except on a tea towel once.

Acrylic, ink & sand on stretched canvas
