This is a Hopi Lizard Kachina, I took this picture with intentions of promoting a Hopi carver. His name is Mak’wesa Chimerica, a well versed carver.
The doll stands 10" tall and painted with earth pigments. It was carved from a single root of the cottonwood tree.

I am from a small Native American reservation located in Arizona. I am from the village of Hotevilla and member to the Coyote clan, I have graduated from Collins College school of Graphic Design and studied the form of Native American photography.
