"Cat with Attitude"
Acrylics on canvas.
This painting is of my cat ‘Snuggles’ who deserted me and moved in with my neighbour. Who knows what goes on in the mind of a cat? Maybe my neighbour had better food.
I still miss him and visit my neighbour to see my cat.

Connie, I have written this to you personally in a bubble but I would like to repeat myself here. I really like this painting of yours very much. You have really captured the softness of the cat´s fur. I could reach out and stroke him. I also really like the way you have depicted the wire mesh fencing – I like the colour and I think that you got the regularity and the way that it has bent a little off to a tee. The flowers in the pot and the ivy add colour and I like the way that you have broken up the dark border with them. Also, last but not least, you have captured not only the drowsyness of your estranged cat but also a lovely sunny moment. Very well done!

Wow – thank you Eva – I appreciate your comment and the fact that you did not just glance at the painting but that you looked at in great detail.

I like the way you have him perfectly poised, showing the confidence all cats have teatering on the brink of distruction (or falling off something). He is commander of his own destiny, enjoying the sun for a while. I sympathize with your cat imposed heartache. I sure wish mine was a Snuggles, but he’s way too independent.
I was in Ireland two years ago and took more pictures of the cats than anything. What characters in beautiful settings!

Hi Suzanne,
Thank you so much for your very kind comment. Cats could teach us how to live, if we would only just choose to take up the course!

A beautiful painting of your cat…well done.I suppose you still call him yours!Cat’s are amazing creatures… and beautiful.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment Mrswillow. I read somewhere that dogs have masters but cats have servants! I think the quality of the servants was not good enough for him in our house!
