Sea gulls, over lake Carlyle, Carlyle Il. this is the largest man made lake in illinios. Here there are tons of seagulls. the sea gulls are not indiginous to Southren Illinios, they were imported here for some reason, and Liked it so much they stayed. In the summer when the farmers are tilling thier fields, these birds, follow the plows waiting for bugs and worms to be kicked up. On the lake they follow in droves, for shad fish that are kicked by the boats engines. When you look back and see them following you its almost freakly like the movie The Birds. There are so many of them. Nikon D80, mid after noon, autoexposure, polorizer. No flash.

Excellent, Connie, both the photograph and what you wrote about the sea gulls on Lake Carlyle. The writing it perfect, it says what needs to be said and no more, which is how I like it. Excellent. – Cora

Amazing capture! I love how you can see all the other seagulls in the background, too.
