installing art software.. well downloading atleast, then installing
corel, adobe, so far,
does anyone have any good suggestions on art programs for windows?
i’m going to install “Gimp” for windows here in a second.
what is teh good shiz to use people? i’ve only had windows for a lil bit now, thinking of reinstalling macosx and just using the old programs i’ve used before.

Well, I’m using GIMP on Windows and have never had any problems. It can do everything photoshop can do, and actually I prefer it. You can get great ad-ons for it – ‘scripts’ – my favourites are ‘urban acid’ and ‘lomo’ – get them all here: http://registry.gimp.org/

If you are a beginner, there is a great GIMP group on flickr – that’s how I learned how to use it. :-)
