A circus performer at Carson and Barnes in Woodland Park, CO, USA.. Taken with a Canon Powershot G10.

When I was a young woman, I married into the circus. My husband Dan was a mahout, an elephant trainer, for the famous Woodcock Performing Elephants. We met at Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI. We traveled the east coast extensively, performances included the first season of the now legendary Big Apple Circus. We played Madison Square Garden, the Shrine Temple in Chicago, and did small mud shows and television commecials. This was my second trip to the circus since his death, attributed to being crushed by an elephant at Wild World in Maryland several years previously.

In memory of John Daniel Pyle, 1953 to 1992
