For as long as I’ve been a photographer I’ve admired the monochromatic field shots you invariably get in ‘How to do it’ photography books… usually in sections about colour temperature, or lens focal lengths, but have always had difficulty pulling off a similar effect myself.

I think maybe I did it with this one – finally, after 25yrs! Handheld at 120mm, F5.6 @ 1/200th, ISO 160, whilst poking through a fence on a blustery day.
