I love handmade sausage, cheese and cider so a stroll around the recent European Food Market in Louth – and all the free samples that entailed – was an opportunity not to be missed.

While most other people shot views, I decided to go for details. On the basis that I’d just bought a large bottle of dry vintage Normandie Cidre, the stall owner was quite happy for me to spend a few moments shooting this string of smoked garlic close up.

Believe it or not I actually desaturated this one by 50% – and am quietly pleased with HDR and ‘rustic warmth’…
