Inspiration: Fantasy Art by community

Posted on January 20, 2010

Fantasy Art describes works that feature magical or supernatural themes, ideas, creatures or settings. Common subject matter includes fairies, unicorns, dragons, wizards, warlocks, witches, vampires and other mythical creatures but the definition can be widened to include some overlap with science fiction and horror. Here are just a few examples of fantasy art by talented RedBubble artists:

I love all things high fantasy and do quite a bit of fantasy art via the medium of photomanipulation. I have also found many artists here on the bubble that do amazing and inspiring works that both have me in awe and challenge me to be a better fantasy artist, as well.

Jotham aka navybrat is one of my (and I know many others) favourite fantasy artist on redbubble. His work is consistently incredible and his fantasy works are not just magical, but they all tell a deep story.

Of course, I cannot pass up this opportunity to plug my own work. Here’s one of my most popular fantasy pieces entitled “Feed Your Fantasies – When Elementals Make Love”

Thank you so much for this spotlight on Fantasy Art and a chance to share some of our faves and best works in that genre.
