Some bubblers had success in the International Aperture Awards this week. We spotted journals from Trish O’Brien who picked up two bronze awards, Naomi Frost who picked up a bronze, gold and platinum and Simon Whittaker who was awarded a silver. Congratulations!

- Genevieve Robey is seeking musicians, poets and speakers for a Brisbane art exhibition
- The Printmakers and Printmaking group shared tips on numbering limited edition prints
Anna Shaw won Photoshop Creative Magazine’s Readers Challenge and had her work featured:

This week we’d like to say a special thanks to Ginny York. Ginny is a patient and helpful bubbler who is always happy to answer questions and to offer advice, particularly for new artists who are just finding their feet on RedBubble. She leaves wonderful comments and spends a great deal of time offering other artists support and encouragement. She also puts an enormous amount of effort into hosting the APBT (American Pitt Bull Terrier) lovers group too. We’d just like to say a big thankyou to Ginny for her contribution to the RedBubble community.
And last but not least, the man with the festive shorts, Mr Baxter awarded this week’s Buyer’s Booth prize to Jack, who has some pretty smooth pick up lines …
We might be able to squeeze in one more post before the holidays but that will all depend on how much eggnog is flowing in the office next week! So we’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support during the year, and for making the RedBubble community a pretty amazing and inspiring place. Thanks guys, this week (well last Saturday actually) saw the first Face-2-Face meeting of UK bubblers in London. Wonderfully organised by skinnyman and CLiPiCs, photographers, painters, poets and writers finally met in person. Lots of fun was had by all, virtual friendships became real and were celebrated, and new friendships were forged. RedBubble was the toast of the evening! You can find pictures and writing from the meet in the dedicated group Face-2-Face.

Ian – what a fantastic idea! Mr. Baxter, are you listening? I want a nice little discrete “RedBubble” pin badge that I can buy from the RedBubble Store and I can wear everywhere. What a conversation piece that would make, and what better ice-breaker for promoting your work? They’ll only cost about $1 to make and I’ll be happy to pay twice that to buy one. C’mon…. :-)
