This week ...
This week we admired some wonderful artwork from these new bubblers:
And we enjoyed works from writers who have recently joined the RedBubble community:
Sarah ORourke provided us with a wonderful behind the scenes look at the Mirrors charity art exhibition opening night featuring works from a number of bubblers incuding Karin Taylor, Cynthia Lund Torroll, Bec Winnel, Caitlin Shearer, Steph Granshaw, Mimi Yoon, AWarr and Remus Grecu. Mirrors was organised to benefit The Butterfly foundation, raising funds & awareness surrounding the complex issues of Eating Disorders & Body Image through Art.

Australian Travel Photography and Writing group asked for help in supporting the Aussie Helpers charity organisation – and received a generous offer from bubbler Tania Rose.
The winning works from the Rejuvenation Challenge went up for display at Mandala Wines in the Yarra Valley. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who took part.

- Rob Toombs shared a lighting tip for photographing steam or smoke
- skinnyman gave us an update on the UK Meet Up planned for December
- EOS20 wrote a great review on the Canon EOS 7D
- Martyn Baker shared some thoughts on his first exhibition experience
- autumnwind said thanks to hosts of The World As We See It, Or As We Missed It
Congrats to ToastedGhost who’s works are now on display at “Probody” inside the Imperial Arcade, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. The manager of Probody, which is a Piercing and Tattoo Studio, tracked him down on RedBubble after finding his business cards in a local cafe.

Earthmonster Illustrated’s special Halloween Edition was launched, featuring zombies and ghouls, killer pumpkins, ghosts stories and some of the best creepy, spooky art RedBubble has to offer.

This week we’d like to say a special thanks to Mimi Yoon. Mimi is not only an incredibly talented artist, she’s wonderful at encouraging and supporting other bubblers. She takes part in collaborations, donates works to worthy causes, leaves generous, thoughtful and insightful comments and contributes wonderfully to making the RedBubble community a supportive and inspiring place. Thanks Mimi!
And last but not least, Mr Baxter awarded this week’s buyer’s both prize to a very professional looking photo from Donald Cameron. Donald will be rewarded with a US$30 voucher for his troubles. If you’d like to be in the running for the weekly prize, just upload a suitably creative buyer’s booth photo featuring your recent purchases.
We can’t squeeze any more action into one journal so we’d love to hear your own highlights. Let us know what you got up to this week …

What excellent news, think this is the first time I’ve won any kind of photography related prize, so yay! Thanks Nat and Mr Baxter :)

This week’s Inside Solo, vol 15 edition features not only Vonne Emerson (ravensoul) , but 8 other great artists and photographers of Red Bubble. Vonne’s art takes center stage with 5 pages as a run-up to her Solo Exhibition next week. There’s also a special feature on Gene Praag’s wild horses of western United States, a group he’s photographed for 5 years, who were just rounded up by the BLM.

This week I fell in love all over again. (Okay, not literally.) Peter is my new hero. My flash drive crashed with all my photos on it and Peter sent me a few that I had uploaded to Redbubble, so my loss isn’t a COMPLETE loss, I still have some of my photos. Thank you so much, Peter.

Being Pink Ribbon tomorrow it is a good time to remind people to get along to the Tickled Pink Exhibition (details here: which benefits the Breast Cancer Network of Australia and finishes soon at the end of October.

Exciting news and wonderful works! I just got back from my graduation ceremony today. But I must admit, I am honestly much more proud of this.
I know, it’s old; and I’ve never shared it in the community comments before. I just ended up thinking about it again today during my graduation; I’m not a big star at school but thinking about it made me feel better; it is really more meaningful.
Being on this community has helped bring up my confidence. It has also inspired me to be more creative and I only started doing my series of miniatures after joining RB; I suppose I just became more open-minded. I actually did end up in RB somewhat as a result of finding myself in a dark place after one disastrous school semestre. Without being here, I don’t know if I would have pulled myself together.
Not to mention that it was on RedBubble that I was discovered, hence if I was not a part of this wonderful community in the first place it would not have happened so thank you RedBubble for providing a place to exhibit my work and for all the inspiration and encouragement.
Now I’m not a big star in RedBubble either :P but the feeling is different. Everyone mentioned in today’s journal deserve a huge congratulations for all their contributions. My busy school/internship life has not allowed me time for these type of events; but hopefully that isn’t going to be the case for that much longer…
Congratulations to all and thank you Nat for sharing with us and for all your contributions on RB along with the rest of the community leaders!

wonderful stuff, thx for the mention and feel happy and proud of so many bubblers i know here achieving great things….i take a moment to ponder where we’d be now, if it hadn’t been for RedBubble and all the good mates and good things that have come to us since joining. It’s given us an opportunity to shine…thanx to everyone at RB for all you do and have done to make this platform so user friendly, extending to us so many more opportunities and possibilities for growth and expression.

Congrats to all bubblers mentioned in this journal. So nice to see familiar names doing well in all areas. Congrats to Tostedghost, Mimi Yoon & Steph Granshaw 3 of whom I have had some contact with. Looking forward to getting familiar with more of you & your wonderful works. Last month hugely blew my wireless budget enjoying Redbubble on my laptop, so having to pace myself this month. Maybe just have to up my plan, this site is wonderfully addictive!
