Drawing Day 2009
On June 6th, RedBubble is taking part in Drawing Day, a worldwide drawing event which encourages everyone to drop everything and draw for the sake of art and creativity. The aim is to create and upload 1 million drawings within 24 hours so we’re going to need as many doodles, sketches and squiggles as possible. The Drawing Day website has linked to the RedBubble Drawing Day group and all works created on the day and uploaded to the group will be added to the final tally.
The organisers have also given us the keys to the Drawing Day twitter account which means that we’re welcome to post about what we’re getting up to on the day and link to some of the drawings uploaded to the group. Our posts will go out to everyone who’s watching the twitter account and we’ll be posting alongside other sites who are taking part.
Whether you’re an accomplished illustrator or a part time doodler, we’d love you to join us. If you’d like to take part in Drawing Day on the 6th of June, join the Drawing Day group and stay tuned for more info as we sharpen our pencils in anticipation.

Yay!! Great to see we’ve got loads of links on the drawing day www this year!!! Excellent!!! Should be a fantastic day for everyone :D Even those that don’t think they can draw could take part by either faving all our artwork or having a go themselves… a cat is as simple as an M, O and Q, with eyes and whiskers of course!!
