I’d like to echo Martin’s comments above. Reading the posts and seeing everyone get behind their community made me feel pretty proud to be a part of RedBubble :)

The great thing about being Second is that while everyone is scrutinizing Flickr to see what they’ll pop off with next, The Bubble looms patiently in the backdrop; vamping and purring as a great, sleek cat. One day this cat will pad out to the spotlight and Flickr will look pale as Death in comparison.

Imagine the gorgeousness that can be attained, both visually and as a Community, during this time of preening …

I absolutely agree with SoxyFleming! You guys do a great job. Redbubble is such an awesome site. It has help me connect with other artists, develop my skills and above all feel more confident about myself. Thanks heaps :)

RedBubble is young site … still evolving, brewing, learning and growing. But the response to the Webbys highlights to me that there is something special at the heart of RedBubble. There’s a passion and engagement seen on RedBubble that I think is quite rare on the Internet. And I think this passion be the engine that enables us to grow into something quite remarkable. I was overwhelmed at the passionate support shown by our community through their comments in support of Redbubble on the Webbys. I spent one memorable evening reading each and every one of the over two hundred comments we had received at the time and found myself close to tears on many occasions. It is this fierce community spirit and pride in what we are all a part of here that continues to set Redbubble head and shoulders above any online community I have ever been a part of.

ok,my thoughts if anyone cares..
on the positive..I agree with most everything everyone says above and more..
I belong to both sites..
Flickr, I can up load a shot and not get a response for days (if at all)
Red Bubble, sometimes I hit the load button and before I even have a chance to view it “live”, I have at the VERY least 2 comments..
That is HUGE to me, as Feedback..positive or not so positive is important to me..

On placing second..
I have to think it is timing..
If you all remember, the Webby’s came right around the same time RB was having some growing pains..a few folks left out of frustrations..some left because they figured they had better places to go.
I have only be part of Red bubble since August of last year, and belong to numerous other sites to get my work out there..
but, when it comes to feeling love, warmth, and families ties..
I ALWAYS come HOME TO RED BUBBLE ! ! !
