Eph 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Eph 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Eph 1:15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Eph 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

This Chapter deals with the wonderful things God has done for us, through Jesus Christ; and what our redemption means to us.
Eph 1:1 Paul calls the Christians “Saints”. As a Christian you don’t have to die to become a Saint, you become a Saint by accepting what God did for you through Jesus Christ. He also addresses the “faithful in Christ Jesus”. We are full of the faith of Jesus Christ, our personal faith can not match his faith. We receive his faith, when we accept what he did for us. It should be interesting to note the difference of the uses of Jesus Christ and Christ Jesus. The terms refers to the Our Lord before and after his Glorification. After he was Glorified he is referred to as Christ Jesus, the powerful Savior.
Eph 1:2 Paul gives a blessing of Grace and Peace from God our Father, and from Our Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is unmerited favor, which we get in abundance, and Peace which is only available form God.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
The “God and Father” of Our Lord Jesus Christ is Blessed, and He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. We can not fathom, all the spiritual blessing in heavenly places, but God has blessed us with this. It is one of God’s wonders towards us. If it’s spiritual and a blessing, We have it!
Eph 1:4 He has chosen us before the world was founded, and His plan for us is to be holy and blameless, so we can go before Him comfortably in His love.
Eph 1:5 It was His and plan and will that we should be his children through
Jesus Christ. The use of adoption is inaccurate, we are His children. Jesus Christ is the firstborn of many brethren.
Eph 1:6 Our sonship, will result in the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. It is by God’s grace that we are saved!
Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
How simply stated, we have been bought back by the blood of Christ, and have had our sins forgiven, and He has done this through His rich graces. His grace is infinite, and so are His riches. Forgiveness is complete.
Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
This is done in according to his wonderfully thought out plan.
Eph 1:9-11 God explains the “Purpose of life!” which He had kept hidden. It is that all
can be united in Christ, and in Him who has given us a wonderful inheritance, which He has set in motion at the beginning of time, by His Will!
Eph 1:12 The other part of our Purpose in Life is That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13-14 Being that we trusted in Christ after hearing “The Word of Truth”, which was the great news our our salvation from death and separation from God, we believed it, and God sealed with that holy spirit. We have holy spirit, which is a guarantee our inheritance, until our redemption is finished, as it is already paid for.
Eph 1:15-16 Paul is thankful for the Saints, and prays prayers of thankfulness for them.
Eph 1:17 He also prays this for them Wisdom, Revelation and Knowledge. These are spiritual blessings that they receive by the Spirit of God who gives Wisdom, Revelation and Knowledge, through His spirit in you
Eph 1:18-19 The purpose of the Wisdom, Revelation and Knowledge is to Open your eyes, and turn you away from darkness; to the Hope, where lies the riches of the glory of his inheritance in for us in the future, and in the present the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. It’s all about His grace and power to us now and in the future.
Eph 1:20-23 This explains the Awesome power of God, and what he has given to Christ.
And how we has the church, and he as the head, benefit to our fullness in him.
AMEN :)
