This beautiful sight caught my eye at my daughters place in Perth Western Australia recently. The interesting thing is that Lantana (the flower) has always been a noxious weed and a nuisance in the wild. Now there is a species which has been cultivated in greenhouses and is selling in the nurseries. This lovely butterfly is also very common and not something one would normally take notice of but what a pretty picture both these traditional commoners make. This image is straight from the camera and was taken with my Kodak Z8612 IS on a flower setting.
Thanks for visitng, cheers- Valerie
