The last extreme weather event like this one apparently occurred in 1934. It was so beautiful, and was completely gone overnight. It was unimaginable to those people who did not personally witness this event. We just don’t get snow here

Beautiful. Yet, so ironic! One of the things I love most about RB is that one can see the happenings and events in different parts of the world that one might not ever know about. This extreme weather event in Australia would be considered a dusting of snow here in Vermont. Snow is beautiful! I’m so glad you got to experience it without driving 5 hours. It’s so calming to me. I love snow!
Fortunately, we sometimes get almost 2 feet in one day/storm. Enjoy it! Glad you were able to photograph it!

Thank you, I agree with you about RB, I have made so many virtual friends here, it is wonderful. I am amazed at the beautiful scenery around the world too. You are lucky to have snow on a regular basis, thanks so much for your comments and for visiting us in Aus. It was very soothing, but it was too exciting to enjoy the full effect
