Oh punaise, voilà un portrait absolument génial ! (I do recognise it of course).Tu as su tout bien travailler, jusqu’aux volutes de fumée….I’m speechless Birdie, tu excelles dans ton domaine, je t’assure ! Careful with the dust now ..Lol !
Ah you see, you keep me in business, the pictures you find for me are really inspiring!

Oh – LOOK AT THIS!!!!! WONDERFUL! SUPERB! BRAVO!!! How do you like the burgundy paper???? The background looks fantastic! You have painted the HANDS so beautifully too! You are a pastel master Colombe!
Oh Lynda, thank you so much for your lovely comments, always!I’m a bit worried that I always tend to do the same things (portraits of old people with lots of wrinkles) but I guess when you really enjoy doing one subject, what the heck……Thank you heaps for adding this to your favourites, what an honour! I really appreciate your encouragements.A bientôt
fabulous artwork columbe! love how you managed that smoke all issuing out… looks to real :)
Hi Carol and thank you for your comment. I was really worried about the smoke all along, but in the end it sort of happened by itself… and a cotton bud.
Fantastic!! I can almost smell the smoke. Wonderful!
I don’t know what she’s smoking…. looks nasty to me!Thanks for dropping by.
What a masterpiece. You have such an extraordinary gift. This is a great portrait, I can almost smell the smoke. WONDERFUL. And the look on her face is amazing – so far away in thought. The light on her hair is well done too. In my mind, your best painting yet.
Val you are such a sweet person, thank you so much for your encouraging comments, always.Fiona made me work on the contrasts in this lady’s hair last Friday, and she was so right as usual. You know how you don’t see things after looking at something for too long? Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to this week…. your “blue fingers” set a precedent I think.See you tomorrow
Wonderful! Great job on the smoke and the hands, especially.
Thank you so much for your great comment.
Congratulations on your 10 June 2010 Feature!
Keep the great work coming!
Christine, thank you heaps for the feature, I’m really thrilled.Cheers
You do beautiful work. Her hands, the smoke, hair — excellent!!!
I’m so happy that the most difficult parts of the painting are noticed…. That’s fantastic. Thank you very much.
Birrrdie, je te félicite pour la feature you have been awarded, elle en vaut vraiment la peine. Je pense qu’elle sera aussi primée dans d’autres groupes.Tu es trop forte ma puce !
Hey Corinnette, thanks heaps! Yeeha!
It’s funny that such a horrible thing can be enjoyed by so many…..Thank you for you generous comment Lilian, I’m so happy that many hours of work are noticed.
