how many generations
feed on the daughter’s servitude
yet their veins run with my blood

who mocks the help mate?
whose sanity saved the stag
she was left to face finality
abandoned

it was not my breasts but my
shoulders that built the world
Atlas just filled in while I did
the laundry

and my withered body will
be fodder once again
feeding the future that
can not remember my face
I return, from dust to dust

………….Amazing emotional work of art and words, it’s striking, painful and serene at the same time it triggers feelings. Instant fav.

this is great— it reminds me of Hesiod,“Works and Days”. Hesiod is so beautiful. And it reminds me of Klimt’s portrait of A Mahler. very good work when it brings such strong ssociations. verse is good too… great job.
