This emu, an Australian native bird, sports a curly mop of hair. Emus cannot fly, but can sprint up to 50 kilometres per hour.
Photograph taken at Bargo, NSW.
Used a Nikon D300 and a 18-200mm lens.

Yes, the emu is classed as a bird. They have feathers and are related to the ostrich! :o)
