I am am an artist and teacher living and working in the Portland Maine area.
I love to work in an eclectic array of styles and media and explore them obsessively, one after the other.
The one thread that seems to connect my work is the interconnectedness of life and humankind’s relationship to the natural world. This general theme, interwoven with myth, mystery, magic, astronomy, physics, alchemy, spirituality and humor forms the framework for my thinking and art making. Often my lone figures are “keepers” of little corners of the universe, working silently, without recognition, to nurture the love, compassion and empathy that we need in order for these beautiful worlds to carry on.
