This morning I received a phone call (7/05/10) from the Cancer Council Arts Awards to say that the image of my Mum above received a Highly Commended Award in a recent Arts Awards Competition & it will be in an upcoming exhibition in Melbourne that will then go on tour to share stories of people who are battling or battled Cancer – my thoughts & prayers go out to the many families effected. My beautiful brave & very bald ( due to her final chemo last month ) Mum will be attending the ceremony – SO happy to be able to share her portrait & positive story with others.
Photo of Mum taken today 11/07/10 at the Cancer Council Art Awards – so happy that we could share this experience this incredible exhibition together, along with my sister liss – such an incredible & emotion display of visual & written art.

Mum started laughing when I was taking these photo’s because I mentioned how much she looks like her brother – she couldnt stop laughing – made me laugh along with her – lol – she’s such a fighter !!! SO excited to see you back – hope alls gone well with the move – I’ve been thinking of you xx :)
