Hey Tara – thanks SO much for the gorgeous comment & for taking the time to view my work ! This shot was taken during a baby posing workshop – I am really passionate about family & newborn photography & like you wanted to learn more – on the day we explored baby posing & then took our own shots – as simple as this pic looks – it was the most difficult of all shots taken on the day as the baby’s head MUST be held during the shoot at all times – so there was ALOT of post editing !!! I absoutely LOVE capturing babies as they are – without alot of props as like you mentioned you really want to capture their purity – I have just finished my baby studio & await more beautiful babies !!! :)

hey thanks SO much Emma – feel so fortunate to have spent an entire day shooting at Kelley’s Melbourne workshop – she is such an inspiration – hope you get the chance to attend a workshop over in the UK – you should email her !!! Kelley makes post editing look so easy – I found it much harder but am really happy to read your lovely comment & yes baby’s head must be held at all times as it would be so easy for the baby’s head to flop down – Kelley really stressed the importance of the babies safety !!
