This small cockatoo (Cacatua roseicapilla) is amongst Australia’s iconic birds. The name “galah” has become an Australian slang word for someone who tends to get up to noisy antics. The galah is a natural comedian often hanging upside down on powerlines with wings outspread calling loudly.
