An Australia/Newfoundland Fusion. A tribute to all you wonderful Australian Bubblers

Here in Newfoundland sighting a moose, weather it be on the side of the road or trampling through your back yard, is a common experience. There is approximately 1 moose for every three people. About 700 moose-vehicle collisions occur on the Province’s highways every year. While this is indeed a sad fact, one good thing that has come from this is our excellent highway sign which depicts a small car being crushed accordion style by a giant invincible moose. This sign has become a cultural icon here on the island and has inspired plenty of memorabilia for sale at downtown gift shops.

I had the Idea in my head for a while to make my own version of the sign blended with a famous Australian road sign. I finally got around to making it a while back, so just in case you’ve missed it here it is (plus another, rather silly shirt inspired by the signs):

A big thank you from my island to yours for this wonderful site (and my newest addiction).

    Great idea Colin

All we get in the UK is a cow in a red triangle – Hardly as world famous as these symbols but you get what you’re dealt I guess
