still standing

still standing

Ricoh Capilo R5

We went the wrong way
down a dirt track
and there it was
just waiting to be appreciated
waiting to be seen
before it fades
back into the earth
back into
someone’s
memory

Love the dreamy quality the colouring gives it. Combine with the warm light in the front, slightly brooding sy in the back and the writing it makes for a really great piece.

Sepia. Why do we love sepia?

It is where our memory goes when the world and its tethers and quandries have bled us of colour.

Sepia is where our childhood lives.

In lost toys and broken barns.

  • Clare Colins replied

So true. Perhaps we remember in sepia…perhaps the colour fades with time :)

That happens to me now and again. I guess that is what makes every piece unique.
