sound of the summer by

the sound that filled the summer months of my youth, the hard rubber wheels and rattle of the metal skates hitting the pavement as kids tried to push themselves along on recalcitrant skates.

Very nice, Colin. This is very evocative of my own childhood, although I would need to add the dull thud as a soft bum hit the floor, shortly after the rattle of skates!

  • Thanks Matthew – ah childhood – skinned knees, bloody noses and concussion – happy days! cp:-)
