Further to the recent journals posted on RB about taking photos in public places, members, especially in the UK, may like to watch this…. its only a few minutes long and well worth watching…
If nothing else, the Police Community Support Officer gave me a laugh with his total incompetence!!
Just goes to show how this country is “developing”... we will have meters strapped to our backs eventually to measure (and tax) how much air we are breathing!!

Fantastic, Since when did we employ people in the community who cannot speak the language(except in the hospitals) and how dare he tell the man to shut up. A Policeman would never do that, he is too well trained. that guy ‘policing’ the community, either needed to be trained or sent back to where he came from where they obviously have a different regime.. It’s the same old story, give them a uniform and….........................

Those guys are so laughable they’re coming close to dangerous.
I thought the wording of the petition was a bit strange but I signed it anyway – if nothing else Downing Street now knows that snappers won’t put up with any nonsense.
It’s mostly a matter of common sense anyway. Not sure why the NUJ suddenly care – never did much for me when I needed them

We are all becoming concerned about this (well sort of) I am awaiting a letter from Parliament giving clarification – I am aware we shouldn’t really take pics of people – but what they don’t know…..as ex Police I do not want to be questioned by some upstart who hasn’t a clue, as to what I am doing- so have asked for clarification-if that is at all possible from Westminster!

I agree Colin, It is a wonder that we do not have to buy a licence to breath

Very interesting Colin. I think your right we will have to have a license for a camera soon. Anyway, it might give a nice revenue from all the tourists.
As you say the PCSO was a joke, no idea about the law.
