Very nice work Colin… My eye is traveling just the way it should be! -Thanks for your nice comment. No, I wanted to have no fine soft toned delicacy with my Georgia O’Keeffe painting; that’s why I choose for OIL! Wishing you a great weekend!-Love and Light~OLGA

I love the painting but would like to know what all the symbolic poles represent – in Australia some of the tribes had burial poles – are these similar?

I’m not quite sure Ariane. I based this on a painting by John Singer-Sargent, of a graveyard in the Tyrol (1914). There must be metal grave memorials there. Or maybe this is was his abstract interpretation.

Thank you for the fine comment, and the interesting info on Aborginal burial poles.

I really like what you’ve done with this. The brick wall back if vibrant and whole in the right corner but fades off to the left. I like that. The composition of this piece is great too. I am able to take in the whole painting but my eye always returns to the center gravemarker that looks like a cross with a dash of red flowing to the left. Really well done.
