Corsican Summer Evening

Evening light upon an old house, in the hill village of Lama. In the beautiful Mediterranean island of Corsica. The warm light, on an old house, was special – and I’ve tried to capture that!
I visited the island in July 2006.

Watercolour painting, using St Petersburg pan set.
Bockingford semi rough 140lb paper. 8×10 inches.

You did indeed capture that wonderful light! I like how the roughness of the paper added so much to the feel of this old structure. My eye went immediately to the stone wall & flower boxes on the left – so beautifully done, Colin. Wow!!!!!!!
