I have never used a palette knife for watercolour before only oils, you have been so active in this Colin you have certainly passed me up in knowledge and technique. This is just amazingly beautiful . Well done my friend. Love, Bon

  • Colin Cartwright replied

It’s a digital palette knife, Bonnie! I did this quick, in photoshop, (the cheats way), from my original watercolour.

Yet another rejection, the list is growing ever longer….

From the hand drawn buildings, group.

”’Newcastle Sepia’ was not accepted into Hand drawn or painted vehicles
The reason was: We think it’s very similar to a number of other works you’ve submitted to the group. Sometimes a series can work well, but in this case, we prefer images in the group to stand alone as unique works.”

Ah well, at least I got an individual reply, instead of the lazy standard one from other groups.
