    This one I didn’t think I would like as much as a thumbnail, but when I saw it larger, I really like it, feels cold…nice work.

    I agree, Bon. When I first saw this one on display, I didn’t rate it. But copying the masters, is a great way to learn artistic appreciation.
    Some that appear simple are very tough to replicate, and yet seemingly complex works are deceptively simple!

    I have finally gotten a little time to catch up with your work Colin….and what a delight. You do a broad spectrum of subjects. To me that indicates true artistic capability ( my opinion ). This one is really beautiful, as are all of your pieces. You can feel the bleakness and the cold of Winter. I ( living in the almost subtropical southern US ) love scenes like this because they portray peace and quiet. ( and make me feel cool :) You have done that very well here.

    I much appreciate you doing that, Linda. Excellent feedback. It get very cold here, although it’s warm and humid at the moment.

    I did an invaluble, 15 week course – sept to february – at the local art gallery, called ‘Painting the Masters’. It’s great way to learn and add the various Master’s techniques to you own style, to build upon your ability.
